Indiana Furniture was one of the first to use an ultraviolet finish on all exposed surfaces – not just the top surface, and to offer the UV finish as standard on all casegoods and tables series – not just as an option. UVAdvantage finish is part of Indiana Furniture’s continued interest in using leading-edge technology and our commitment to making responsible environmental choices.
Clarity, Durability, And Hardness
Clarity – A cured UVAdvantage finish magnifies the beauty of our wood finishes and will not yellow with age.
Durability – UVAdvantage earns kudos for durability with an outstanding five out of five in independent testing. Which means the longevity of our products is far superior to products with other topcoats in the market today. Other topcoat finishes commonly rank three or less.
Hardness – Due to the inherent hardness of UVAdvantage cured finish, the surfaces are less likely to be damaged by common surface abrasions and scratches.
Safety
Safe Office Environments – Once cured by UV lighting, our UVAdvantage finish does not emit irritable toxins, formaldehyde, or solvents into the air creating safe work environments within new furniture installations. This has allowed us to earn Indoor Air Quality certifications on our UVAdvantage products.
Air Pollution – Our UVAdvantage finish process greatly reduces hazardous air pollutants which contribute to smog formation. Excess UV finish is recaptured over and over again reducing waste material within our facilities.
